Project area located in village of Sherburne, town of Sherburne Chenango County, New York. Project area approximately one mile north of PIN 9016.15, see PAF Report no. 86. Phase 2 Cultural Resources Evaluation of one prehistoric site. For Phase 1 research see PAF Report no. 831. Survey methods: surface inspection, shovel test pits, excavated squares. Unnamed prehistoric site, SUBi 680, Phase 2 artifacts: flint shatter, bone, shell, nails, metal, brick, mortar, concrete, limestone, dolomite, coal, cinders, plastic, glass, kaolin, historic ceramics, lead-glazed earthenware, pearlware, transfer print, stoneware, salt-glazed stoneware, slipped stoneware, sand-slipped stoneware, Albany slip, vitreous ceramic. Recommendations: project will not adversely affect any significant cultural resources. This report includes nine maps, artifact catalog, summary of previous research.
